Banned Breed Policy

The owners of DDJ strongly object to breed bans. However, due to limitations of our insurance policy, DDJ can not service Pitbull, Staffordshire Terrier breeds and dogs with similar characteristics if the dog's owner do not have a provisional Breed-Restricted Permit. Under Denver’s Ordinance Sec.867 pit bull breeds (American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, or Staffordshire Bull Terrier) are prohibited within Denver unless they have been issued a provisional Breed-Restricted Permit.
