At this meeting, we take your dog out for a jog/walk to get an idea of his/her abilities and then cover the details of what to expect if you hire us. What follows is a list of items to review before the trial run to ensure you and your dog get the most from the consultation. Please review carefully.
Before We Arrive
Help us keep your dog safe by taking the following precautions. Your dog's safety is our number priority. The following simple steps will go a long way in helping us achieve this goal.

We strongly recommend that if you don't already have one, to please purchase a martingale collar for your dog. This type of collar offers an added layer of safety by preventing the dog to slip out. CLICK HERE to watch an explainer video to help ensure the Martingale collar fits properly.

This type of collar does not always adjust perfectly and are the most likely type of collar to slip over a canine client's head.

Dog ID TagsList Item 4

Flight Risk Dogs
If your dog is a flight risk, please help us provide a safe service by keeping your dog away from the door where we enter. Our runners will take precautions when entering to keep your dog inside the home, but an unnecessary risk is added when we are met at the door by a determined pup. If you need help with training a pup not to bolt out the door, please contact a dog trainer. We recommend Noble Beast Dog Training.
-
We Need You
You need to be at the trial run in case you have questions for us We will also have questions for you about your dog.

-
People Friendly DogsList Item 2
The Trial Run Consultant needs to be able to leash up your dog(s) without your assistance. The DDJ policy is that our staff may not attempt to leash up any barking, snarling, growling, snapping or biting dogs. This policy keeps your dog out of trouble and our staff safe.
